Spiritual and theological formation for mission

Formation in the Catholic tradition strives to meet the needs for a contemporary response that honours both the rich tradition and ecclesial responsibilities: as well as the individuals need in the contemporary context for authentic meaning making. It is closely aligned with BCE Leadership Capability Framework, with a particular focus on Encounter Me.

Formation in the Catholic Christian tradition is a dynamic process of growth, with authentic staff and student formation as the critical factor in the continuing mission of Catholic Education. With Jesus at the centre, formation opportunities, which include prayer, theological reflection and spiritual wisdom, will continue to support staff, students and parents to increase their knowledge of the Catholic tradition and enhance their own identity.

This work is based on an approach to learning that understands Catholic formation as holistic and enlivened by interaction with multiple learning strategies with priority given to scripture, prayer, liturgical life and the Catholic Tradition.
