St Joseph's prayer

St Joseph's prayer

Who are we responsible for...ourselves, our family, our community, our heath...…? This week we have been thrown into uncertainty, as we navigate the extremes of selfish hoarding and crippling fear.

St Joseph was a man with a big responsibility - the welfare, safety and security of both the Son of God and the Mother of God. Whatever God asked of Joseph, he did to the best of his ability. Joseph reached out to Mary in love and acceptance, through hurt and afraid, as the first sign of his responsibility as husband to Mary and father to Jesus.

St Joseph, pray for us as we unite in solidarity to care for one another at this time of social distancing and self-isolation.

Help us, amidst fear and doubt, to reach out in love, care and concern to those who need us most - the vulnerable and the frail. Amen.
