Praying in Colour

What is praying in colour?

Praying in colour is prayerful doodling...

The action of drawing can be a wordless offering of friends and family to the care of God.

At the end, you will have a colourful design that is a visual reminder of the time spent in prayer.

Task:

1. On a blank piece of paper write your name for God. Draw a shape around it and just start to doodle. The drawing becomes a prayer.

2. Add detail to the shape – dots, lines , circles or zig zags. Ask God to be part of your prayer.

3. To pray for a person, write their name on the page. Draw around it. Add colour and keep drawing as you release the person into God's Care.

4. Add other people to your drawing. Think of each stroke of your pen as a prayer for them.
