Capacities of a Christian Community

This series of nine prayers is based on the nine capacities of Christian community that are described in the Catching Fire Spiritual Formation Framework as “discernible hallmarks within a Catholic educational community growing into God.” The capacities have their source in scripture and in the compelling characteristics of the early Christian communities, who first sought to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.

This series nine of prayers provides an opportunity for staff to experience different styles and approaches to prayer; to deepen their spiritual foundations and to gain a richer understanding of what it means to be part of a Christian community.

These prayers are suitable for staff prayer in a Catholic school community.
